Bonus payout issue
I am resigning from my current job but the problem is, the day that they pay out my last year's bonus is my last day at the job. They are saying that since I gave my 2 weeks notice before it was paid out, I am not eligible even though I will still be employed there the day it's paid out. Is there any hope? In a word, nope. Companies set their own policies on bonuses. Bonus is extra, they don't have to pay it.
Sorry, Tess Offering a bonus is something a company chooses to do, not something it has to do. My expectation would be that there's little hope of changing what, apparently, is a company policy. It sounds extraordinarily tight-fisted, but there's really nothing you can do about it. Paul W. Barada The Negotiation Expert | |
