Car allowanceWhat is a rule of thumb for a car allowance, knowing in advance that it will be a flat rate per month including gas etc, for me to use my car in outside sales, driving between 10,000 & 15,000 miles per year? My thought is that the reimbursement is around 48 or 49 cents per mile. Figuring 1,000 miler per month, or thereabouts, that' s obviously between $480 and $490 per month. Hope this helps. I' ve been in outside sales in WA State for many years and the average car allowence I' ve seen and had myself has been between $500 & $550 per month with $500 being the avg. Personally, I prefer the company car option. My cars end up beat to hell! Must you shout? Sorry, but I' m using a laptop and don' t have my reading glasses. I' m sure I' m not the only one who has trouble with the fine print. | |
