Salary for Director of PMOI'm trying to determine the salary range for a Director of Program Management Office position and have looked at Salary.com and several other websites with no success. Does anyone have suggestions on where to look or an idea of the salary? Thanks in advance for the help
This isn't exactly the answer you want, but it's part of it at least. What you need to do, as a preliminary step, is figure out what level of income you need to at least pay the bills, make ends meet, and maintain your present standard of living. Figure out what your average monthly expenses are over the last six months or so. Once you have that monthly average, take it times 12 and you should have a fairly accurate notion of the level of annual income you need and below which you really can't go and still make it financially. Call that annualized amount $X. Add about $10K to $X and you will have created a salary range within which you know you need to be - at the very least. Call that $X + 10K amount $Y. I'm not suggesting that's the salary range you should expect for a Director of Program Management position, but I am suggesting that it's a reference point that should enable you to make more informed decisions about salary offers that come your way or the salary range you realistically want to be in based on other factors like your experience, training, past job performance, skills, and education.
