Starting Sales Salary HELP!!

I am trying to find what the starting salary range would be for a sales position. The position is listed as a "sales trainee" or "territory manager" and it is in the food service field. My mother is looking at this position for herself and is not sure what to ask or expect salary-wise.
If anyone can help me with this, please let me know! Thanks!!

There's a big difference between "sales trainee" and "territory manager".  If this is an entry-level position, they'll tell her what the salary is, not ask her what she wants.  Since it is in sales, it will likely be some combination of base pay and bonus or commission.

Tess is correct, there's a huge difference between "sales trainee" and "territory manager."  Trainees are told what the salary is and they either accept it or they don't.  Territory manager suggests previous sales experience, training, and some demonstrable record of success in sales.  The expected salary for an experienced sales person can be calculated in a bunch of ways: base + commission, straight commission, a draw against commissions, or a dozen other methods.  What the offer will turn out to be is very difficult to predict, in other words.  Wait and see what sort of offer is made and for what type of job and then, if you like, come back here and we'll try to provide more situation-specific help.
