To negotiate or notI got my offer which is higher than I expected and is in line with the salary data available on the net? Should I still negotiate for a little more? The company really likes my profile, the hiring manager said so. I like the company and the job. Will it show me in bad light if I try to negotiate on a good offer? As Paul says, take the job & don't even try to negotiate! If the offer was in line with online salary calculators, chances are you are making much higher than the median wage for that job--many, probably most (but not all) of those sites like salary.com are on the very high side. Why would you risk being thought of as greedy? That's what'll happen if you attempt to negotiate a great offer. Don't assume they have left wiggle room--maybe they currently love you so much they upfront offered the top of the range so they could get you without the hassle of haggling.
