Got an offer from company with good salary (20k more than current job) but with same position. I was looking for higher position than my current position as I am also expecting a promotion in my current company and new company is much smaller than my current company.

After I got the offer I accepted the offer first then I researched about the company and found that people form my current company/position/experience have got to higher position in new company than the one I have been offered. So I went back and asked for higher position even after accepting the initial offer but then they told me that currently they are only looking for specific position/role (same as job offered) so I would have to wait  for something in future.

Now I am not sure If i really want to let this offer go away because I was looking for change from current job and new job also give me more money though at same position/role. I am totally unsatisfied with my current job and desperately looking for change.

Now should I go back and accept the old offer with same position or should I wait for right position (hoping they would have one shortly). I am totally unsatisfied with my current job and desperately looking for change and they new job is offering 20k more..

I need some advice as I don’t want to look stupid my first accepting the offer than rejecting the offer by asking better position and now going back to accept the same offer again.

I am not even sure that if I go back and accept the same old offer again. They will also agree to it.

Any advice is appreciated!!!
