Proactive for possible job offersHello everyone, After being dry for 3 months I have been very fortunate to have 4 inperson interviews next week. My question is: If someone offers me a job at the interview (I know unlikely sameday), what is the appropriate way to tell them I have other parties who are interested and will need some time to review my options? I just want to be prepared for anything. My last job was out of state and it was offered to me at the end of the interview. Next day I received another job offer which I turned down because I had already accepted the other one. Appreciate your help and support. I would just ask when is it that they are planning on making their finally decision, and take a mental note. Also, let them know that you are in the interviewing process and that with all due respect should another offer come through you would inform them immediately! Good Luck On the off chance that you' re offered a job after the first interview, just politely ask when they' d like an answer from you stating, in almost the same breath, that you' d appreciate a few days to consider their offer. That should buy you at least a few days to see what other interviews produce. I would NOT, however, mention that I had other interviews scheduled. | |
