It will affect everyone because as the minimum wage goes up so does the price of everything else.  Companies have to raise their prices to make up for the increase in wages.  The only fair thing to do with minimum wage is to get rid of it and let the market demand define what we call the minimum wage.  People that make this wage certainly will need assistance in getting higher paying skills or education that will lead to such.
