Confidential resume posts

As an employer, would you be less likely to contact a posted resume if your only method of contact is an anonymous email?

I was getting an average of one call a week for my public resume on Monster from employers, not counting recruiters. I decided to make most of the identificable attributes about my resume private. So was wondering if this will cut down on the good average.
Great question, creativePM! I' ve worked with numerous job seekers dealing with the "confidential vs. non-confidential" issue over the years. Most have found that they did receive inquiries with a confidential resume, but the response tended to increase when they decided to post their full contact information.

The decision really comes down to your personal comfort level. Some job seekers would rather keep their resumes confidential so that their personal contact information is not available online. Many decide to protect their identities in case their own employers are scouring the internet for resumes. Others don' t mind the potential exposure online, so it really is a personal preference.

It would be great to hear from employers on this topic. Does an anonymous resume make the candidate less appealing?
Yeah I get the feeling hiring managers/HR people feel more comfortable just picking up the phone rather than shooting an email. It has been a couple of days and so far most anonymous emails are from recruiters. I think only one from an employer. Reminds me I have to follow up on that.
My significant other is a headhunter and I have seen it work both ways.  I really think it depends on the personality of the person searching.  He worked from home today and heard him get a call from someone he had emailed that had a confidential resume.  I know he prefers to use the phone to call people though.  So it doesnt always matter, if yu have the qualifications they need, I do not think it matters too much.  If you are "average" or there are many others with similar qualifications it would work against you.  That comes from what I have seen at home.
Ok, so I'm still averaging one direct employer contact a week which is great. However, making your resume confidential will screen out people who are not comfortable with an internet job board's interface. I got one anonymous email: "How do I contact Confidential 89750".
So I set up an anonymous email account with an autoresponder: "If the position matches, I'll contact you. Otherwise, thank you...". I hope this will come off as a professional counterpart to the company job board's autoresponders.

I am still considering options for actually including it as a post in my resume though. The reason for not doing so is that web crawlers pick it up and bring on the spam.
