Maybe someone can offer me some advice and kickstart me in the right direction. I am almost 45 years old, living in Marin County, California. For the last 8 years or so, I've been supporting myself and my family with an online business that has slowly been declining and can no longer really support us. My wife has taken a teaching job, which helps tremendously, but the bottom line is that I need to go out and start working for other people again, i.e. FIND A JOB. My prior experience is all in the film production arena, both live action and animated. When I put it all down on paper, I think my experience and the productions/companies I've worked for looks pretty impressive. The problem is that due to some fairly significant health issues, I don't think I would have the same type of energy and abilities to perform the kind of supervisory/management type functions I previously performed, certainly not something in the live action production realm. Instead, I'm hoping to find a more low-key computer related production job of some sort, like with an animation studio or video game studio etc., but I don't really have much in the way of IT skills, i.e. programming, hardware, software development etc., so that leaves out a huge chunk of that market. Anyway...I'm sorry to ramble on, but I just started to try and build my resume online, got to "JOB TITLE" and got stuck, so I thought I'd post something looking for some advice....I'm not even sure if this is the right place for this post, but if anyone has any suggestions etc. I'd appreciate it.
