Review my resume. What changes to make
I am seeking for a job since November of 06. I took a job (company 5 in my resume) just to be able to pay the bills etc. I am looking for a position in business operations, as an OPS manager, buyer, sourcing specialist, and business analyst. , where I can use my current skills and qualifications. Also for the future, I want to obtain MBA in finance and move to this field. I know being in OPS would allow for smooth move. Anyway, I have problems to continue my career in OPS. Since November I did not receive single respond to 500+ resumes I sent. Please review and tell me if it is written well and if you would hire me?

Please review and tell me if it is written well and if you would hire me? NO! See below You are seeking to many different positions: You mentioned I am looking for a position in business operations, as an OPS manager, buyer, sourcing specialist, and business analyst What do you want to do? You can only pick one and focus on it, but do not pick Ops director/manager, not to knock you down, but you do not have the years behind you to back that up, degree or no degree. Now I understand about "paying" the bills, create a sepparte resume for each potential job you might want to go for, but do not have your resume/personal feelings all over the map. Focus focus focus on what you really wnat to do for the next 20yrs. You should really be employed right now, 6months is the average time to find a "desent" job you like in the field your looking. You really need to keep in mind that you might need to move out of state or to another part of your own state. I know I've done it, in order to stay with what it is I like. Too many people now days are not willing to move!!!!!! Or re-educate!!!!! That my friend, you can take to the bank!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I had more time to help you out, but seriously, I mean what I say. I'm not trying to pick at you, just being honest.... :)
I wish you all the best
-Dave I appreciate your honesty. So far everyone who reviewed the resume always praised it never critiqued. Therefore I am asking here. Also FEEL FREE to tell me what would you change. Is the format right? Should I remove unnecessary temp jobs as “company 2”? Should the full time position for company 4 and contracting consulting services for the same company, be listed as one job?
Just to clarify, the top of is information to monster members, who review it not my a part of my resume. I want to give you a look at what I am looking for if my resume fits. I have run my own business and run operations in “company 4”. All of the positions I listed are/were part of my responsibilities and I enjoy doing all of them. I believe my skill set is a good fit to perform all positions listed. anyhow, any advice is welcomed.
Dave, seems as you know this stuff well (based on this one and other posts you made in different threads). Can you help me to point it in the right direction? | |
