Resume for ex business owner

Hi There;

I owned a small it business for the past 16 years. Business these days are ok, but may need to look for a job. I have a high scholl diploma and two years of a uncompleted college. I have alot of experience with IT sales. I have created a general resume with all my skills and broken it up into categories for example.

Is this a good resume format or would you recommend something else.

Hi evandrake,

You might want to create a Qualifications Summary instead of using an Objective. The summary can incorporate your IT sales goal, as well as the top reasons why you would add value to an IT organization. Your tech skills should be in your resume, too.

For each of your "points," be sure to highlight accomplishments (not job duties). You can also include an Education section showing that you attended college. You might have additional courses, seminars, conferences, etc. that you can include in your Education section.

Best wishes for a successful job search!
