Gap in employment
I have been a stay at home dad for the past 2 years. Any tips on how to deal with this on my resume. I am considering including it by indicating exactly what I have been doing or just leaving the dates out and doing some type of creative summary. Don't know if this will help or harm. Thoughts please.
Hi DrTChatman, I think you should address the time off in yourcover letter because employers will be wondering about what you've been doingfor the past two years. Do you have other activities you can use to cover the timeperiod in your resume? Examples include volunteer work, continuing education(courses, seminars, conferences, anything career related), freelance projects, etc. | |
