Background check question
I have had quite a few jobs within the past 10 years. Some were holiday jobs for christmas and some were because i just quit because i didn't like it and some were on 1099 forms. I finished college and now want to work at one place long term. I put on the application just the jobs that were pertinent to the job im applying for. My question is will they see all the jobs i have ever worked for both w-2 and 1099 with my social security number? I'm worried too many jobs will show up and they won't like that. Thanks "I'm worried too many jobs will show up and they won't like that" Were there not instructions to disclose all previous employment on the application? Was there not a warming to the effect that misinformation (omission) would be grounds for termination? Or did the application explicitly state only provide relevant job history? That would be most unusual if that were the case. At my company we treat omission very seriously - if discovered prior to hiring then job candidate is eliminated. If discovered after employment - employee is terminated for cause. Yes, we have hired employees who have had a multitude of jobs - some because they held as students and others because of relocation or other factors. "because i just quit because i didn't like it" indicates immaturity - a big red flag to prospective employers. | |
