Please review my resumeI would appreciate it if you could offer some feedback on my resume. I fear that it is not the content of my resume but rather the jagged employment record. I explain the reasons for this on a cover letter but don't seem to be getting interviews. I have a (very) small business from my home that is clerical related but hesitate to note this as I am seeking more professional based employment in the Human Resources Management field. Further, I have over 20 years prior experience as a Regional Office Manager and Executive Assistant. Should I list these instead of listing employers with the years? Could this help me in securing interviews? Thanks for your assistance.Qualifications Summary
Professional experience working in fast-paced, multi-location, environments, demanding strong, technical and interpersonal skills. I am detail oriented and resourceful in creating, implementing and enforcing policies and procedures as they relate to compliance and employee relations issues. Human Resources department start-up, and overhaul experience.

Your resume looks good. It could definitely use a resume career objective though, as it is quite important: Portion of post does not conform to Monster TOU Thank you. I have both of those areas on my full resume. I only submitted a small portion. I was concerned about how best to show my former employers since it appears I have job hopped. Any suggestions?
You have good skills but you are right it does appear that you have job hopped. Were these contract / consulting positions?
LValDean, Thanks for responding. In answer to your question, no. They are not contract positions. I left the 2001 job voluntarily for career advancement. 2002- They were a small company. They were forced by a recent buy out to bring in a HR and start up a HR Dept. Everyone was related except me. I received a bonus just prior to end of employment but they brought in their friend after HR was running smoothly and they gave me a generous severance. 2003- Needed to work and it was the most immediate available. Tried Sales but wanted to return to HR. Left voluntarily. 2005 - Left to go out of state and help family member. When I returned, it was difficult to find work. 2006 - Contract position. It is difficult to explain these dates. I try to do so with a cover letter but everyone doesn't look at a cover letter. I'm in HR myself and am pulling my hair out because I know I have great experience and qualifications. Thanks. Resume Expert, Would you please comment on my resume. Thank you. peonies12 | ||||||
