cover letter
i will be applying for a dhs job i really don't have experience in this field except for maybe 2 months i didn't put it on my resume because it was almost 4 years ago should i add it on there or not. i would also appreciate it if someone could explain to me the purpose of a cover letter.
A cover letter serves as the introduction to your resume. It really provides the hiring manager with reasons for even reading your resume. It allows you to give them a brief summary of why you would like to work for them, what you can offer, and why they should speak to you. A well written cover letter can really make or break you, so take the time to write it and be sure you keep it brief.
