Hi there,
Well....for example, from my point of view, your resume looks as if having been done by an automatic entity, not a huma mind :)) I'm telling you rhting as it appears axtremely technical. But then again, this firld asks for information as such. My other explanation would be actually a question> are you also sending a cover letter to accomany your resume? A cover letter could "humanize" your cv and could display your intentions better. Section of post does not conform with Monster TOU. Please contact 1-800-Monster to purchase advertising.
Anca, I have used the Professional Resume template from Microsoft Word for the layout. I have made additions/adjustments to the formatting. Yes, I agree that the information is technical. I used to use a cover letter to target my specific audience. If I'm directing to one company in particular, I'll use a cover letter. Otherwise not. The resume you have seen is a "scaled down" version for HR folks. I still don't think they get it... That is a real challenge working in IT. Most HR people only recognize bits & pieces---keywords like Microsoft, PC, and maybe a certification or two that they have heard of. Their inability to recognize meritable skills makes it tough. I think that the format I'm using is working for flow and readability. As far as templates/new design goes, I'd be interested in options. Thanks for your comments. Any further advice would be appreciated. --Ryan |
