Moonlighting position

Does anyone list on their resume a part time that they worked at while they were working a fult-time job? If so, does it seem to hurt or help you? I was working full time, developed a financial problem, and took a P/T job in retail. The financial problem got resolved, but I stayed on the P/T job because I liked doing it. It's in the same field that I've worked all my life (Sales). I have good references from the job and I want to list it under RELATED PART TIME POSITION or something along that line. Your opinions would be appreciated.

I've listed all of my related freelance jobs. I am actually very proud of the fact that I can handle so many things at one time and a few employers were impressed by it. Just make sure your resume format clearly indicates it is a part time job. People who just scan through your resume and might mistake it for job hopping.
My resume is set up in chronological order, so it is just labeled like any other position. The only difference is that under the title, I would explicitly state "Freelance ...".  I have tried describing the status under job description but I notice employers still asking why was it such a short term position. My guess is they don't bother reading the details.

If you find a better way, let me know. My suggestion is to keep it clear and concise.

I have worked approximately eight part time (evening or weekend) jobs in addition to my regular one over the past twenty five years, including Office/Business Cleaning, Banquet Waitressing, a clerk at a freight forwarder, Accounts Payable Clerk for a home builder, and Administrative Ass' t for a real estate.

The last two part time jobs I worked were as an Administrative Ass' t for two Re/Max real estate offices between 1999 and 2004.  I don' t list them on my resume, but have brought them up in my cover letter whenever I have sent a resume in to a real estate office, for a Bookkeeper/Administrative Ass' t position.

So, while you could list your current part time job on your resume, but unless your work history on your resume only contains one or two short term jobs, I would say why not leave it out of the resume, and just bring it up in your interviews?
