Ethnic names on Resume

Question:

My real name is Brettneka, but I put on my resume "Brett" because I am scared of not getting call backs.  Am I overreacting and should put my real name back on my resume?  Once I get an interview and have to fill out papers, I always put my real name.  I just wonder should I keep it as Brett to get my foot in the door.

What' s your opinion?

Yes...that might be your nckname, but you need to place your name in the resume as that is your identification item, correct?
Don' t worry abpout your resume being rejected because your name sounds awckward. As a matter of fact, the more "exotic, unique, different" a name is, the more they' re interested in you.

I vote for using your nickname on your resume, and not to avoid discrimination (which is sadly out there), but to make the resume sound more user friendly. Also, using a full name that you' re not known by can confuse the hiring manager when checking references or Googling you. Which candidate looks more approachable?
