Okay....I'm not sure where to put this, so please re-direct me if need be

I have posted my resume and made it "Public". For those of you with Public resumes, is that generating any e-mail that might be considered spam? I won't give specifics but let's just say that since I posted it last week, I've gotten three e-mails from what is supposedly the same company (e-mail addresses are different each time). It's not personalized to me and there are no specific open positions mentioned. Nothing that even REMOTELY relates to my resume. They just say they saw my resume online and want me to contact them for an interview. Sorry, but I do not think these are legit.

There is an option in each e-mail to stop future e-mails (need to allow 2-3 days for processing). Is this safe? I've learned that sometimes that just proves an e-mail exists.

Anyone else getting this?? I just e-mailed Monster, but I don't know if it went through.
