Adding Home Networking to Resume

I am in the IT field and am looking for a job in the field of System Administrator. I would like to add my home networking experience to my resume becasue I think that it is relevant but before I did I had a few questions:

1.) Would employeers even care that I have home network experience
2.) If they do care, where would it go (work experience, hobbies etc)
3.) How should I add it, here was some ideas I had:

"Build and Configured Server/Workstation Environment running Window2003/Windows XP"

"Set-up Configured Networking Compnents (DNS, DHCP)

any help on this will be appreciated

I believe that your activity of home networking is actually going int your experience area because, after all, you have worked in the field and built yourself a ... portofolio. correct? So yes, mention it because some of them care. It is practice in the field so you have done something, right?

windsox,

Yes, you can definitely mention your experience setting up a home network - it will add to your tech credentials. You can mention it in your Technology section or in an "Of note" section (the best place depends on your overall experience, but I wouldn't include it in your work experience section).

Thanks for the advice, I have a section called "Techncial Experience" but it is mostly just bullet points.  Perhaps I can add a Technical hobbies section?  Also, as a foot note I also am a created/maintain w website for a local school here, I know that has nothing to do with being a SysAdmin, but someone mentioned I should add that as well, perhaps in the "Technical Hobbies" section any thoughts?
