-------------------------------------------------------------------------- After 150 resumes since January (most of them here), I find it necessary to revamp my resume. I have been told to 'lose my employment' as it is dated and I have not worked since 1990 (disability). I've been told to 'lose the clubs' but this has been my volunteerism from 1995 to present. I have no idea if I need to include two or three references. I've been told to add my college education, but I've been going on and off between 1980 and 2002 (and I'm returning in a few weeks). I am only 21 credits away from a AGS (Associate in General Studies). Any tips or suggestions would be most welcomed!!
Nice terminology :D "Revamp". And you are right...your resume needs a good "make-over", and you should start progressively, with the areas you lack. - resume career objective - this can take their eyes from various things (flaws) you have mentioned yourself. Make the objective strong and powerful. State what you want to do with your life. - skills area. What else? I recommend you have a look at the European CV format. You'll find it in a google search. Lots of patience and inspiration!

My MAJOR gap was from 1990 to the present, as far as actual workeexperience. I had a brain tumor removed, which left me disabled. My 1995 I felt ok enough to get involved in some of the groups that Ibelonged to. There is where I derive my volunteerism from. I did work fairly steady from 1977-1990, however, I can't remember allof the jobs I had nor what my wages were at each one. I have been attending college on and off since 1980 -2002, I willbe going back in a few weeks to try and get my AGS degree. SeemsI can't even get my big toe in the door unless I have some type of adegree!! The European CV did look interesting, and may catch the eye of a recruiter, but I wonder if it would be right for me. This is my second "revamp" of my resume since early January. Iguess what it needs is an EXTREME MAKEOVER, but I don't know if Ty cando anything with it...
