Moved for job but left it after 2 months

I recently left a new job after 2 months that i moved across the country for. I don't have it on my resume and people who call me ask why I now live so far away from my last job. I explain to them either A, new job wasn't a good fit, or B my wife wanted to live in a bigger city.

The job was for a top industry player, but i didn't like the working environment and left before it burned me out.

Do i list them on my resume or use my wife as the excuse

I know you haven't practically been fired, Now...I've been in your shoes and things went like this: I listed my 2 months job, because it is part of my work  history and it appears written in my work registers, so no chance of skipping it. The way I motivated my reasons it was that I moved towards a better paid job, a job which gave me the opportunituy of promoting faster (or, it you just left...you can say the job wasn't a good fit for you and you do want to move for something more....competitive).

Do include theposition on your resume. You would have to list the company on an applicationform, and excluding it from your resume might give the impression that you weretrying to mislead. Also, you might see better results in your job search if youshow that you were employed rather than showing a recent 2-month gap. As you suggested, you can explainthat the position was not a good fit (try to keep it as positive as possible),but that the position you're going for is an excellent match. Good luck!
