Career Change Resume

I have been working in the retail business for 8 and a half years. I have worked for Sears and Best Buy. I am currently a Department supervisor and have held the position for just over 8 months. I am a college grad with a Degree in Business management and looking to further my education to get an MBA. I am looking to get into the Technology field as an analyst. An example would be something under the United Technologies companies. I have never written a Career change resume and would like to know some pointers I could use to make it look appealing. I don' t know what skills I have from retail management I would have that would benefit me as a Business Analyst.

I bet you can uncover many transferable skills from your retail management career. Examples:
Data and information-gathering skills
Ability to translate business data into useful, management-level reports
Ability to recommend and implement best practices to improve operations and the bottom line
Analysis and critical-thinking skills
Ability to perform quantitative analysis
I recommend that you study job ads for business analysts to see what employers find desirable. You can then start thinking about your transferable skills and accomplishments from your retail career.
