Speaking as a college professor who has taught accounting, let me throw in my two cents worth of advice. First of all, you don't have anything on your resume dealing with accounting, other than your Bachelor's Degree. And secondly, your work experience doesn't look like it's even in accounting at all, or really accounting-related. So my suggestion is to do this:
And I've always suggest to my students and others, that they use bullet points to draw attention to those skills. For example,
In other words, focus on the thing you did in school that are relevant to accounting. And while practical experience is better, doing it in school is still your having done it! With entry-level jobs, you're trying to get practical experience, so quite often, they know they're going to get students. And these would go under a section like Qualifications or Summary. In your education section, I would suggest you simply put State University of New York. Which specific college within SUNY isn't that important. Besides, if an employer wants to know which college you went to, then they'd have to contact you for an interview! | |
