Plain Text Resume

I am applying for a job online for the first time today and I'm being asked to copy and paste a "text only" version of my resume onto the company's web page.

I found some steps online to convert a Word document into plain text (ascii) format and I was able to do that successfully. What I find myself wondering is whether there is any special plain text formatting that employers look for or which would help my resume to look professional.

I definitely don't mean that I want to put acsii character pictures of cats or something onto my resume! I just wonder whether there's anything I should do after converting resume and proofing it for characters that didn't convert right.

Turning a word text into a plain text is very easy,But...you should also read about how a resume should pe  posted online or sent via email because there's a reason your prospective employer is asking you to send it as a plain text format. And this is because not all computers have all sort of programms installed on and it is the simplest way to do it.

Section of post does not conform with Monster TOU

Frontier - If you've converted your resume to .txt format and gone back to clean up the file and remove any unsupported characters, you've done more than most job seekers who just "save as" plain text and send it no matter what it looks like. Worse, many people copy and paste directly from Word, causing the crazy characters and terrible formatting when submitted to a plain-text form. Employers are happy when they receive a clean, well-organized ASCII version, which is what it sounds like you have.
