Left job after 2 months
Quick question. I left a job after 2 months. I relocated across the country for it and wonder if should list this job on my resume. I liked the job, but I just didn't fit in with the office politics. Should i put it on my resume, since my previous job was in another state? And how do i explain why i am in another city from where my old job was; I was at the old job for 3 years and thought this was too good an opportunity to pass up. If your job was a ballet dancer and you're looking to do customer service, then you wouldn't list it as it isn't relevant to your job search. Two months isn't so long a period of time so you may skip listing the job. You don't need to explain before the interview why you were in another city (on average 20% of the population change their address every year - why should you be so special?). You need to focus that you'll stick around for awhile with your new employer.
Good points. I've had a few interviewers ask and danced around the issue gently. Thanks for the advice | |
