Update 3/31/07 09:20 EST- I just happened to check the "preference" settings accessed from the drop-down menu that shows "my stuff" next to my screen name after logging in.  There is an option for message formatting there.  If it's unchecked, you can't format submissions.  Make sure to investigate the setting (I never knew the feature was there and I've been using Monster for years).

No problem!  Just wait for the text entry box to pop up fully and you'll see all the buttons for bullets, indents centering and so on just above it.  I had the same problem and just pasted in straight text, then formatted it from there.  It's not as nice as my full Word version, but it's good enough for critique.  Hope this helps!
