Resumes Only
I've seen some job ads that ask you to email them resumes only. Does this mean they don't even want a cover letter? I'm not sure what to do, since sometimes the ad will say something like "Knowledge of old movies would be useful," but you can't really put "I like old movies" in your job history.
You can still do the cover letter. Might make a difference.
I agree with wonderboy that you can still send a cover letter (unless there's a strong statement about not sending one). Also, you can tailor the resume with information that was requested in the ad. For example, an interest in old movies (if relevant to the job) can be added to an Interests or Additional Information section. Best wishes, Kim Isaacs The Resume Expert | |
