Glad to see that some people are getting responses on this board. I posted my resume to be critiqued not too long ago and it got pushed into oblivion with no responses. I see people posting asking for help, but not dishing out the help. I had actually posted some comments about other people's resumes, but didn't get anything back about my own. I could understand if I was being selfish and didn't post any advice on other people's resumes, but I did offer my advice.
Well, consider yourself invited to post it again.
You can call out to the resume expert to respond.
I feel your pain, p23!

Barring the formatting nightmare that I encountered, this is my resume without a cover letter. As you will probably notice, I've cleaned it up a bit to conceal important stuff. There is also a header at the top that includes my name, phone number and e-mail that I've left out. ANYTHING is helpful at this point.
Change your Objective to An entry level Chemist position. If some HR type gets your resume, they won't know enough to deduce that you're a chemist from what you've provided.
I usually do add that or whatever name they have for a position like that. If they are looking for a "lab associate" I would put that in the objective. Thanks! | |
