Objective vs Summary

I see most people here have an objective section on their resume.  What are your thoughts on a "Summary" section instead?

Summary        Experienced financial professional with an extensive background in risk management, investment strategy and financial statement analysis.

Thanks for your time

Summary sounds good, but career objective sounds WAY BETTER :)) This is my opinion...and if you want arguments, just think that a resume career objective not only displays your skills (relevant profile), but it also shows your intentions for the future. Employers are really found of determined job seekers, who want (or appear to want) to evoluate inside tgheir company, because if the employee evoluates, the company evoluates.
It implies a little bit more thinking, but this is nothing compared to possible effects.

Thanks, and nice link...I see the difference of a direct objective

Thanks again

Portfolio_mgr, I like the idea of a summary that incorporates your career goal and areas of expertise. You can make this section really strong by including several of your top career accomplishments.
