Help me with my resume pleaseeee

I am looking to make a career change.  I want to move to the retail industry in order to get sales experience.  I am looking to eventually get into consumer electronics sale, or home theatre sales, something in that general area.  I want to eventualy move up and work possibly as a buyer or vendor rep for a consumer electronics company.  I have no retail experience, little customer service experience (out of college) and a completely different degree.  I am very smart, and a quick learner.

With no experience i am having trouble showing what i am capable of and what i can contribute to the retail industry without experience.  I took one college class in robotics while a senior in high school, (should that even be included since it was so long ago).  I have had customer service experience in a restaurant atmosphere however, that is all.  Someone please help me by critiquing this resume in order to help me out somehow.  I am so lost and have had so much trouble even getting interviews due to my lack of experience in the field even though i am smart, educated and have a rocord of being able to adapt to the job industry i go to.
any suggestions about interviews for my situation would also be helpfull

Dsworks101,

First of all, don't sound so scared about retail!  Your experience in restaurant makes you very qualified for retail as they have a lot in common.  Retail is all about creating an enjoyable customer experience that creates the desire to come back when they need to make another purchase.  It is just like what you did with the restaurant and creating a fun and enjoyable experience for those clients.  In regards to getting into electronics apply for the management training at Best Buy, Circuit City and American and be ready to work right through every holiday, every birthday and every weekend.  Be ready for long hours and constant weekends but keep your sights on what you want and go for it.  The best managers start from the ground up and current managers promote from within so don't be afraid to accept an entry level job and make it clear in the interview that you want to learn all you can and get into the management training aspect of the company within 3 to 6 months.   Focus on being the best ####. Mgr, Mgr., District and Regional. set time limits, such as dept. Mgr., 3-6 months, Assistant manager  6 to 24 months, Manager- 24 or less months and within 3 to 4 yrs-District Manager and 3- 10 Regional.  Be clear and firm that you have a 10 year management plan within this industry and you will make the manager your interviewing with extremely happy!  Also, keep in mind, though loyalty is a good thing for an employee to a company, the companies don't show that for thier employees!  Sometimes the only way to get paid what your worth is to move around within retail.  Quit and go to another company.  As you get better at your job other companies will constantly try to recruit you from your current position.  I have had to quit a company I loved to get a raise once they missed me and hired me back.  the point is...don't be afraid to move a bit to get the money your worth and believe me the more experience you get the more your value sky rockets even though management will try to convinced you that their are millions out their who want your job.

Good luck

Any retail helps though right? at least to just get in the door.  Do you have any suggestions on my resume. Am i delivering my skills and responsibilites appropriately for this area of work or is there something i should concentrate more on.  does anyone have any ideas
