Freelance listingI have a full-time job, but I also have freelanced for a major online publication for nearly a year, and my work appears there so regularly that, essentially, it's a part-time job. In listing my work history chronologically, I have a challenge: do I list the freelance position at the top, since I started it more recently than my full-time job, or do I list the full-time job at the top, and then the freelance position below? I don't want it to appear to prospective employers that I consider my freelance position to be more important than my full-time job (because I don't feel that way) but, technically, shouldn't I list the freelance position first? Thanks for any insight. Is your full-time job in the same field? Could you set up two employment sections: one for whatever you do in your full-time job, and one for writing? You could have one section called Business Experience and another called Writing Experience, or whatever. Then things don't have to be perfectly chronological.
Both are writing positions, so I'll need to think on that advice. Even so, newyorkgw, thanks. | |
