Feeling lost

frown Hi, I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas of where to look for a second job that would provide an income while I am looking for a different position/going back to school for additional training? I am currently working on a project which might end in February 2008. I have been looking for alternatives, but just haven't found anything yet.

Thanks

Jim

I'd hit the mall.  Retail should still have Christmas positions open and they usually last until January inventory.

Thanks, but that's not really an option for me, right now. I don't want to give up what I have right now to work in a mall store. I thinking of the near future when this project is starting to wrap up and there is not another alternate. My main line of work is in software development.

I am similar to you. I work full time in IT, and i have a second job teaching nights at a local community college. Ever considered teaching? It pays well, you can work evenings and you won't have to be out ungodly late, and they are relativly easy positions to acquire as long as you are good with people and have a couple subjects you would like to teach. Take a look at sylvan learning centers or kaplans or community colleges near your area and see if they have anything open. I have found it to be a very good source of extra income.
