Better to have a job
Currently I have a job, but want to find a new one. How is it looked upon by propective employers if you don't have a job? Is it better for me to keep my job that I have now until I find a new one OR would it be ok to quit my current job and look for a new one? Thanks!
Keep your current one. You'll 1.) keep having income come in and 2.) you can't predict how long a job search will last. It is always a red flag for you to quit a perfectly good job before having another lined up. Don't do it.
Tess As much as I hate my job, too & can not wait to find something, it is always better to have a job when you're looking than be unemployed. Don't quit something else until you have something else. And they're right--you never know how long a job search is going to take---I've already been looking for 3 months!! No calls! Hang in there.
Hi Willow410 It is always better to have a job while looking to advance in a better career area. So don't drop your job you most likely will have better luck. MCCathy Community Moderator Monster | |
