Difficulty finding new job

I have been looking for a new job for about 8 months, but have been experiencing difficulty getting a job in the field that I got a degree in. I graduated from Clayton State University with a Degree in Computer Networking. Since I have been looking for a job, I have been told every thing from you don't have enough experience in the field, to my resume istoo  short . Does anyone out there know where I could look for employment, especially full-time? Does anyone know who is hiring? Could you please drop me a line? I have even went to the local county school system to apply for a job in their computer department, where I did an internship one summer.  But as of now, I just landed a part-time job in a local restaurant. I am thankful for this job, but I really need a full-time job. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did you not think of applying for a graduate training program prior to graduation?

It is difficult to obtain a job straight from university as you have a qualification but no real professional experience.

You have options:

  • Take a temp job working for a computer company to gain experience
  • Work for a computer company in an administrative role and after a respectable period of time look to move internally
  • Research computer companies on the internet and apply to them direct
  • Work for yourself and establish a base of clients who will employ you as a consultant
  • Your Resume obviously is not selling you appropriately - update it and make it work for you
Good luck
