Question about personal branding
Dear Monster Members: I had a quick question about "personal branding." I know that this has been the buzz-word over the past few years-- about promoting what makes you unique and stand out from the rest of the crowd, which supposedly will help employers to want to hire you. I was wondering... how does personal branding fit in with the perspective of prospective employers? Is the main focus of personal branding all about trying to get the job? Or is there a way that I can utilize personal branding and show how my personal brand will benefit the company? (Ok, so this is more than one question. Sorry about that!) Anyway, are there any resources on personal branding that takes into account the employers' perspective? I know that there is the book "Fit In, Stand Out." Is this a recommended read? Sincerely, Copatch | |
