wouldnt it be nice
With all the job applications one has to fill out, I was thinking how nice it would be if you could have all your information on a flash drive. You walk in, the employer uploads the file on your flash drive to their system, and you don't have to fill out the same info over and over. I realize this is a pipe dream, but it seems that that would save a lot of time.
Hi Yes it would be nice, however I have seen that for security reasons they may not use the device. Probably to create a cd/dvd of your work in a pdf format might help them to see rather than the conventional resume. One can scan in examples of work like a portfolio which speak about your experience and achievements so far. what say? cheers vrushali
Good point with the security issue! Now- a CD or DVD, that would be cool. Imagine, being able to walk in for an interview, hand them your CD or DVD and say, that my resume and reference contact info is on the CD. Would save on paper, and time. Perhaps there could be a standard job applicant template, you fill that out and burn to your CD.
Great idea! They'd have to check it for viruses, of course, but as long as it was upgradable or otherwise changeable--address, phone, experience, references, etc.--I feel safe in saying if that's your field, heck, why not create a prototype, do thorough testing, and market the darn thing? You could make some serious money on it! Oh, and don't forget to patent it. Don't go with those commercials on daytime T.V. that sell "inventor's kits"; go directly to the U.S. Patent Office for information on how to obtain a patent, etc.. | |
