fired from harassing ex gf at work

I was fired in July for sexually harassing an ex girlfriend of in front of other co-workers  and i regret having said it. I felt an apology wouldn't help because she would sill contact HR for the comments i made. Last month i won my hearing for unemployment benefits.  In the mean time i'm looking for full time warehouse work and i've been on a dozen interviews and a few of them i wrote down the reason why i was fired. Other applications i've wrote down "personal reasons" on why i was fired. or "disagreement with one co-worker"  I'm worried that an employer would contact my last job and they'll go into details why i was fired.  I really do feel bad on what i said to her.  Any suggestions on what to write?

In this situation anything you put down as the reason for being terminated is going to sound bad. To get the interview, you could simply put "terminated" with no reason and explain in the interview.

Each company is different in their policy of what can and cannot be said within a reference check. Some companies verify hire and to and from dates, some companies will include if you are eligible for rehire and some companies do go as far as to say exactly why you were fired.

Contact the human resources department and ask them what it is they can and will say. Once you know that you will in a better position to explain your sitation to the employer.

In no instance should you say that you "had a disagreement with a co-worker", it will make it sould as if you don't work well with others.

If the employer only verifies employment, consider Laid Off as a better option.  You were paid unemployment.  You should had an opportunity apologize if this was the only time.  It is unfair when an ex girlfriend has to have a vendetta and can get some former boyfriend fired.  That sexual harashment issue has gone  too far.  Never socialize with the woman at work, its worse if you get married and have problems.  Has any woman been fired for flirting or having too much exposed?
