Ok I am getting a little frustrated and was wondering if anyone has any advice on what else I can do to aid me in my job search. Here is my situation.... I have been looking since roughly last June (06). I did take a 6 month contract position in November that ended the beginning of May. Since May I have been really searching again. I just finished my BS degree in Accounting on the 6th of October. I also have 10 years experience as a bookkeeper. I have been on a handful of interviews over the last 2 months. Some have resulted in second interviews where some one else was then chosen or others I never heard back from even after sending thank you notes and follow ups. I have my resume posted on two of the major career sites, here and Career Builder. I do not get many hits. I am registered with 2 agencies. I search many websites daily along with many newspapers. Is it worth it to just send out resumes to random companies? What else can I do? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
