Why are you job hunting question
Seeking diplomatic answer to the "why looking for a new job" question I am looking for a job more in line with my career objectives. WB
Good question. It should be obvious that there are issues with one's current job if you are looking and you really can't tell the truth anyway, so why do they always ask? I mean, people always say not to say anything bad about your current employer, so what's a person to do (that's believable)?
I haven't mastered this either; which really makes me feel dumb since it's asked 100% of the time and there's no excuse not to practice it. Is there a diplomatic way of saying you like your job but hate your boss & are underpaid? The why are you looking question is a bit of a Catch 22...a comparable question would be "When did you stop beating your wife" One HR person said after asking the question ,.... "we are looking for loyal employees". Still seeking a "diplomatic" answer.... | |
