go ahead and ask...I am doing a post-graduation internship right now and really enjoying it. I work there fulltime and seem to get along with everyone in the small office. While I am not given many important tasks, my supervisor and others seem pretty pleased with my skills and how I've performed so far. I recently came across my perfect dream entry-level position in that same department advertised on the company website, but in a different location. I would love the opportunity to express my interest and talk with my supervisor about it. But I am still in my internship, which will not end in another three months. Should I go ahead and ask? I mean, I intend to finish my internship of course. Will it hurt in any way...? Inquiring about a job that will advance you through the ranks of the company will never hurt. Does the advertisement say specifically that interns can not apply? If it is entry-level and was located on the company's internal website, then the company is probably counting on the fact that the interns are looking and applying.
