Staffing firms
There are several jobs posted by Staffing firms (e.g. KForce) which match my search criteria and seems very attractive. What is your experience with the Staffing firms ? Should I stick to apply with firms directly ? I am a IT professional who is looking for a job in Financial services industry in NY metro area. I see several jobs posted for Lehman brothers, Morgan Sanely but some other big names, like Goldman Sachs, are missing. So, I am wondering if I could miss a good opportunity by ignoring Staffing firms?
You have to do both, anything that will get you an interview. Staffing firms have hidden jobs that are not advertised. Sometimes the jobs that are posted are just to get resumes. Employers also do this, but have cut back due to the expense in advertising on Monster and other job boards. Agencies do that for them. | |
