Stuck and looking for adviceI am a stay at home mom returning to the work force after almost three years. I recently graduated in May of 2007 with two Bachelors degrees. I am striving to become a CPA. I recently accepted a temporary position with a bank and began the job this last Friday. The position that I accepted is really only going to give me cash handling experience. Well during my job search, I applied for a position doing payroll. Since I have no accounting experience, I was only applying for entry level positions. They have recently called me for an interview. I would much rather have this position. Not because of pay, the pay in both positions are the same. But because of the experience it will provide and the job is PERMANENT!! Which is always good. The problem is that I just started the job at the bank. Because of financial reasons I cannot just quit the job at the bank in hopes of getting the position that I prefer. I do not want to call in or go in late in order for me to go to the interview. It still is not definite that I will get the position doing payroll. I really want a crack at the payroll position. Does anyone have any advice to help me out? What would you do? Should I just turn down the interview and stick with where I am?
