Was in mortgage, now what

Hi,
I was wondering where I should go now.  I've been in the mortgage industry as a closer/funder for the last 4 years and was recently laid off.  Now I am unsure what I am qualified for.  I am good with computers, time deadlines and organization.  Do you have any ideas?  Oh, I have a high school diploma but no college.
Thank you for your help,
Shelle

I was in the mortgage industry for 16 years. Fortunately I assisted with many other positions which eventually moved me up the ladder to management. I have not done processing/underwriting/closings in years but I am getting desperate for work and I have been looking for anything. Be sure to look on other job sites like career builder, hotjobs, job.com and on mortgage companies direct websites. Because the mortgage industry has slowed down everyone is looking for loan officers, you are probably like me and don't like sales.

What about working for Title companies? You know the closing documents and could be a closer or another position within the Title company. What about looking for a position in Quality Control in the industry? Again, you know the documents and I am sure you audit the files before closing.

Good Luck
