Is it too late for Thank You Letter
I had an interview on Wednesday Sept 5 for a job I'd really enjoy. My father passed away on Thursday Sept. 6. I have yet to sendthank you letters. I am finding it very difficult to concentrate on thephrasing, or even the ambition to compose letters. Can I wait a fewmore days? Should I include an explanation for the delay? - Does anyonehave a suggestion on how to explain without a looking like I'm beggingfor sympathy? I don't want to appear to be manipulating the readers. Imet with 3 people, HR manager, marketing mgr, operations mgr. So I'mgoing to need 3 letters. I am so very sorry to hear about your Dad. My personal opinion would be to send out your thank you notes anyway. The 5th was not that long ago. Good luck and my condolences Tinae61 First off SORRY for your loss - I know its tough Secondly go ahead and send them now and maybe put something in there that due to a death in your fmaily you apologize for the late reply
My regards for your loss. It is never to late to communicate appreciation and thanks to someone else. In my lifetime so far, I have never thought negatively about the person sending the "Thank You" note. Take time if you like to write something more personal however, and do not feel like personal notes is the only option. | |
