Confusing recruiterWas working at a startup part time (we've since separated). The recruiter who had me come over was also my supervisor. The unusual part came when he said he has these ties to other companies and agencies (said he would give me a reference and would even try to bring me back to the startup doing something else). I find this confusing to find a supervisor acting as a recruiter for other companies. (couldn't find anywhere else to post this one)
I'm sure your entire job search is not based just on this one person. If this guy was also your supervisor, you already have a leg up, he knows your skills, work habits etc. If he is truly working as a recruiter he should be able to place you in a position that matches. I would ask some honest questions as to why he is in his current role and who are his clients and what his placement record is. | |
