Recruiters Who Wont Stop CallingI have my resume on Monster and Careerbuilders. A company based on the East coast left me a message on my cellphone regarding job opportunities. I did not return any calls because I am NOT interesting in what they are offering. This company keeps on calling me and leaving me unprofessional messages. They never tell me what the name of their company is. I had to find this out by caller ID and then researching their phone number. How do I know they found my resume? They mentioned it during their first message. The cellphone number I use is strictly for my job hunting only and I do not give it out to anyone other than Monster and Careerbuilders. Has anyone experienced this? I would think if you do not get a response, that means the person is not interested in your services so you move on and STOP calling that person!
You aren't able to block the numbers? or add it to the no call list. Recruiters and staffing agencies always do this and it is incredibly annoying. But, yes, if they leave one or two messages and you don't return their calls, they get the message and leave you alone. I am wondering if the phone calls you are receiving have anything to do with the data theft from hackers who penetrated Monster. I have received many emails and because I don't think that I requested Monster to send me anything regarding "updates", I deleted them without reading them thoroughly. Perhaps these phone calls are the next step to the illegal way the hackers are getting information. Anyway, if you are in doubt, you can always contact Monster and ask them to check the legitimacy of the calls for you. | |
