online job servicesHas anyone ever gotten a job/interview using MONSTER etc.?? I have tried clicking every posting that I qualify for, they are offering and NEVER receive any response let alone a job offer. WHAT'S the deal?? do I really need to sign up for the super duty service .. DID mention I am not employed, therefore no money, to gain some headway??... Responses please!!! I am currently working as temp Project Manager. I submitted for many jobs on Monster never a call or response. Done a lot better through networking or craigslist. I also suggest you set up a profile on linkedin.com and network to your next job! Man cannot live on job boards alone. I've been using a combination of Monster, careerconnection.com and personal networking and have been fortunate enough to land seven interviews in the last five months. Three of them were for applications submitted through Monster. I will note, however, that these few interviews were the result of 50 separate applications. Of the three Monster-interviews, one has resulted in a call-back for a 2nd interview and I am (hopefully) finding out whether I got the job sometime next week. The ratio of applications to interviews to offers is, I'll admit, rather out of proportion. | |
