1 month after interviewSo I basically interviewed for my dream job late last month in July, great position and a great company, exactly what I am looking for. After the interview I was told they wanted to move fast in hiring someone and they would have a decision sometime next week. I followed up with a great thank-you letter the next day and then basically played the waiting game. The week came and went and I never heard from the company. On Wednesday of the next week I followed up and was told that no decision was made so far regarding the position and that the interviewer would follow up with me shortly. Another 2 weeks went by and I decided to follow up again. This time I was thanked for the follow up and was told the interview process was still ongoing and no decision was made yet. That was 1 week ago, so at this point I have no idea what to do, is the company trying to be nice by telling me that they' re not interested? I know the company was hiring for at least 3 different positions in the same department, could it be possible that they' re just too busy and haven' t had time to interview everyone yet? Should I keep following up with my interviewer? Any advice would be great, thanks. I haven' t let this slow down my job search though, still looking.
In my experience they did not choose you and they have a rejection letter in the works/mail. I could be wrong, but this is what has happened to me every time I had such a long wait. Most recruiters don't seem to want to tell you on the phone or in person that you do not have the job. They just send you a letter in the mail. | |
